R100 TOKYO’s exclusive and luxurious residence situated in the center of Tokyo.
Tokyo Art Office and R100 organized a private art salon event, wishing to present the richness of collaboration between interior designers and artists, and the possibility of creating a lifestyle that goes beyond the resident’s imagination. The space where the salon took place was designed by Gwenael Nicolas from Curiosity, Tokyo.
The exhibition was centered on works from Yasumichi Morita’s “Porcelain Nude” series. These photographs, featuring minimalist bodies with their colors, expressions, and even the pores of their skin stripped away, raise various questions. Are they genuine bodies? Just what is “real”? For Morita, art is the creativity that is awakened by these questions.
